February Advocacy Conference

When: February 9 - February 11, 2026

Where: Tallahassee State College and State Capitol

Conference Cap: Please note, based on the host's banquet size restrictions, this conference will be capped at 300 total attendees. At this time, multi-campus institutions with multiple campus SGAs are capped at 6 students and 1 advisor per campus. Single campus or multi-campus institutions with one college-wide SGA are capped at 10 students and 2 advisors per college. If that puts us above the cap, we will need to cut back on registration. If we have space available after the deadline, we will reopen registration.

Conference Schedule: Click Here  Updated 2/4/26

We'll have a basic agenda for you soon, but agenda will be very similiar to last year's February conference. Please plan to arrive Monday evening for a Tuesday morning conference opening and depart Wednesday after your day at the Capitol. Both lunch and dinner will be provided at TSC on Tuesday. Please note that our conference this year falls during the legislative session; please work closely with your campus legislative contact to coordinate meetings for Wednesday.

Student Conduct Form

Student Conduct Forms must be signed by every student and are required at on-site Conference Registration (one form per student, per school year). As a reminder, FCSAA policy 14 states: "The use of tobacco/tobacco‑like products, alcohol products, or illicit drugs by any participant during an FCSAA activity, or in violation of the law or the participant’s college policies, is strictly prohibited.  Each division shall adopt a policy, which specifically describes how this policy shall be applied and enforced within the division. Participating students will work with their advisors/coaches on any necessary medical needs and proper use of prescribed medication, following the guidelines of the represented college."

Lodging

FCSAA Executive Committee Policy 9.F. states:  "If conference/tournament hotels have been contracted for a division event, all colleges not local to the event location are required to secure lodging at one of the contracted properties unless all available space has been filled." This language has been approved by the Council of Presidents and is our lodging policy moving forward. This essentially means that if you are staying in a hotel, you are required to lodge at one of the contracted properties.
