Congratulations to the Theatre Student of the Month for September... Madison Winegard from Lake-Sumter State College! Madison was nominated by her advisor, Aspacia Lindstrom. Here is what Aspacia shared with us about Madison:
"Madison Winegard has been working hard as the President of the Lakehawk Dramatic Society. She collaborates with her peers and the program director to ensure that everything the club does is run to the best of its ability. This includes getting students involved in community events, school events, competitions, and other amazing theatrical opportunities. She is also a very prominent member of the Digital and Performing Arts program! She has just recently portrayed the amazing role of Cecily Cardew in Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest" and is now working on her portrayal of Antigone in the Greek Tragedy, "Antigone". Moreover, she is completing her AA and is consistently taking classes at LSSC while maintaining a grade A average.
Through Madison's role as President of the Lakehawk Dramatic Society, she leads her officer team through meetings and various events that help further the club's goals. She never backs down when she is needed and is always willing to lead those who may need her. In the Digital and Performing Arts Program, she always steps up in leadership positions when she is needed and helps her cast through rehearsals."
Congratulations, Madison! Thank you to Ms. Lindstrom for nominating her for this recognition!
