Help us congratulate our FCSSGA Student of the Month for October... Angelica Ceron from Lake-Sumter State College! Angelica was nominated by her advisor, Jennifer Unterbrink!

Here is what Jennifer shared with us about Angelica: "Angelica has done a tremendous job stepping into the President role! She took it upon herself to complete the tasks of our empty positions at the beginning of the year without being asked. She also went above and beyond to recruit new members and be a role model for those students. Angelica comes in each day with a smile and a positive attitude, ready to take on anything that comes her way! Angelica is only a high school senior but you would never know it by the way she communicates and represents herself.

An example of how Angelica models good event planning is the last event that SGA had. One of the college's initiatives is to increase civic responsibilities; so Angelica arranged to have a voter registration with one of our academic professors take the lead on helping folks register and brought in a petting zoo. The petting zoo really grabbed the student's attention and we ended up getting 25 students registered to vote and several others confirming their registration. Angelica saw this event from start to finish; role modeling the expectations and responsibilities that go along with hosting an event."
