Another week, another SOTM! Congratulations to the FCSAA Student Government Student of the Month for February... Cinthia Morrabal from Pasco-Hernando State College! Cinthia was nominated by her advisor, Laura Raposa.
Here is what we learned about Cinthia through Laura: "Cinthia and I met virtually in August of 2020 and formed a Coach/mentee relationship. To this day, we have not physically met in person, but our video conferences feel comfortable and uplifting. Cinthia works full time, goes to school full time and helps her parents care for her younger siblings. Did I mention that she earned a 4.0 GPA last semester? She has big plans upon her graduation in May to transfer to St. Leo and continue her degree in Social Work.
Cinthia has a can-do attitude and always follows through with commitments. When our individual campus’ Student Government formed as a collegewide SGA, Cinthia stepped up to be the Vice President of the West Campus. She represented the college positively while continuing to work and volunteer in the community. Cinthia’s goal is to open a safe space for young people in our community to better themselves and get connected to resources. Cinthia is the type of student/person that you cross paths within your life that make you think about making a difference and I couldn’t be more proud of her and her accomplishments thus far."
It is students like Cinthia that we are so thankful to have apart of our FCSAA divisions. Congratulations to Cinthia, our FCSSGA Student of the Month, and a big thank you to Ms. Raposa for nominating her!
