Let's hear it for our SGA Students of the Month for August... Luke Elmore from Florida State College at Jacksonville! Luke was nominated by his advisor, Stephanie Castro. 

Here is what Stephanie shared with us about Luke: "Luke demonstrates excellence in many ways. He has been very helpful with students as well as assisting and taking on speaking roles at such events as Commencement, award ceremonies, welcome week, and Constitution Day. He holds regular meetings with peers to help train them to grow and develop into stronger leaders. He is always patient and kind and willing to help out where needed!

Luke demonstrates leadership when he takes initiative on projects and anything to help students succeed. He also shows leadership by always improving and taking past experiences into consideration. He has experience leading a team both on and off-campus and knows how to assist with many duties such as budgeting, event planning, interviewing, etc. He is very active in the local community as well with volunteering and networking, which benefits his role at the college as well by recruiting and welcoming students."
