Another SOTM coming in hot- Congratulations to yet another FCSSGA Student of the Month for March... Sierra McHenry from Florida Gateway College! Sierra was nominated by her advisor, Amy Dekle.

Here is what Amy told us about why Sierra deserved this award: "Sierra is currently the SGA Secretary for Florida Gateway College. Due to Covid, our SGA is presently understaffed, but you wouldn't know it because Sierra is dedicated to ensuring all of our events and activities go off without a hitch. Sierra is in contact with all of our clubs and organizations to ensure they have everything they need to operate smoothly. Sierra is very proactive and always asks me if any task needs to be accomplished or anything I need her to do. Sierra's dedication to SGA has made this challenging year easier for the students at FGC and SGA. In addition to SGA, Sierra is also a member of the Mathematical Society and Cultures in Action.

Sierra is an active leader in her church. Sierra teaches youth Sunday school classes as well as praise dancing. Sierra also fundraises for the Autism Speaks. In addition to Autism Speaks, Sierra is involved in feeding the homeless by bringing and donating food to our area soup kitchen and homeless families in our community."
