Congratulations to one of the FCSAA Publications Students of the Month for March… Izamara Zamora from Miami Dade College North Campus! She was nominated by her advisor, Carmen Bucher.

Here’s what Carmen shared with us about Izamara: “Ms. Zamora entered the Axis Magazine e-board and editing team as a freshman in 2019. She led all fundraising activities and eventually became a poetry editor for the volume 17 edition. She was also instrumental in working with the e-board to finalize the pandemic edition of the Axis Creative Arts Magazine. Currently, Ms. Zamora is the Editor-in-Chief and President of the Axis Creative Arts Magazine & Club. She leads weekly meetings of the club. She also works with the e-board to prepare all submissions to the magazine for review. She has led all training sessions for members in using the various rubrics to select pieces for the volume 18 edition. Her leadership is inclusive in style and provides all members access to lead in other areas as well. She is an excellent role model.”
