Music Student of the Month: January 2023

Music Student of the Month: January 2023

Let's hear it for our Music Student of the Month for January... Judah Horne from Eastern Florida State College! Judah was nominated by his advisor, ChanJi Kim!

Here is what ChanJi shared with us about Judah: "Judah Horne is a piano major student at EFSC. He has recently won first place at FSCAA Student Artist Competition with a $2000 scholarship. He performs in recitals at school in addition to sharing his talents with the community. Two nights a week he plays solo classical piano at Villa Palma Restaurant in Cocoa Village, and on Sundays, he plays at Trinity Community Church in Titusville. His interests include theology, philosophy, and literature, however, his real passion is classical music! According to Sally Cook, piano instructor at EFSC, "He is one of the most talented musicians we have ever had at our school. I see a great future for him! He already shows a sense of professionalism in his piano studies, bringing well-thought-out insights to each of the pieces he is learning." He plans to pursue a BM degree in Piano Performance after he graduates with his AA in Music next year.

Judah has gained the respect of his teachers and student peers alike for his talent and dedication. Judah is an excellent academic student who currently carries a perfect 4.00 GPA. He has a great personality and is an outstanding representative for EFSC."

Congratulations to this outstanding student and our thanks to Dr. Kim for taking the time to nominate him!
