Help us congratulate our SGA Student of the Month for September... Zakariah Lemons from Hillsborough Community College (Ybor Campus)! Zakariah was nominated by her advisor, Tamika Francis. 

Here is what Tamika shared with us about Zakariah: "She has great determination to lead the students on campus. She is always eager to learn by asking questions and volunteering when she has the opportunity. She is the Vice President of the SGA Ybor City Campus. She is also a co-chair of the Community Service committee. She is the chair of the weekly Senator meeting as well. She is always ready to help a fellow teammate and takes initiative. She has a weekly social media reel called "Motivational Monday" where she talks of ways to help keep students encouraged. She is energizing and it's always a pleasure having her around as she illuminates any room she walks into. She volunteered to participate in the campus Enrollment Day to recruit new campus students. She also speaks to students in First Year Experience classes.

She is always available to attend and promote events on campus. She actively plans and attends community service projects with the local Metropolitan Ministries where she helped in the shop/warehouse and is currently collecting items to make PB&J sandwiches for the children of the group home. She is very adamant about making sure we get feedback from the campus student body by talking to them and encouraging them to take surveys. She is always greeting students, faculty, and staff with a smile."
