Congratulations to the Student Government Student of the Month for March... Luis Batista from Hillsborough Community College! Luis was nominated by his advisor, Tamika Francis. Here is what Tamika shared with us about Luis:

It is my privilege to enthusiastically recommend Luis Batista-Castro as the FCSSGA Student of the Month! When Luis started the position as SGA President, he was not quite sure if he would be able to handle the responsibilities at hand. Since, taking the lead, Luis has been that member to take initiative when duties need to be done. As the SGA President, he strives to build a cohesive team and encourages team efforts for improvement and engagement. He takes time to collaborate with campus staff, students, and administration by participating on campus committees, planning community service projects, and promoting events! He has met one on one with the Campus President and the College President to discuss student concerns. He takes the time to speak to the team to encourage team participation, preparation, and academic success! No matter how small or big the task, he continues to do his best to get the job done with a positive attitude! Luis has demonstrated to be a great asset to not just the SGA but to the campus wholeheartedly!"
Congratulations, Luis! Thank you to Ms. Francis for nominating him!
