Congratulations to one of our Student Government Students of the Month for November... Alyssa Lajoie from Miami Dade College! Alyssa was nominated by her advisor, Raynel Kinchen! Here is what Raynel shared with us about Alyssa:

"Alyssa has been a crucial part of the Student Life department staff since being introduced as an Upward Bound Intern in Summer of 2024. She made a big impression on all of us! Since that time she has become an integral part of the campus. She is so involved seemingly everyone knows who she is. Very recently she has stepped into the role of Sergeant-At-Arms for the North Campus Student Government Association and she has embodied her role. She focuses on keeping everything orderly and functional. Even if an event begins at 6:00am or goes late, she can be counted on to volunteer, participate and maintain good spirits while encouraging positivity in others. Alyssa's challenges everyone to be their best selves and she is genuinely lovely to know also. She is always there to smooth over a situation or help someone who is down and that is why her SGA President recommended her for Student of the Month!"
