Congratulations to our November 2023 Brain Bowl Student of the Month, Matthew Andersen, Santa Fe College! Matthew was nominated by his coach, Dr. Asha Brunings.

Here is what Dr. Brunings had to say about Matthew:

“Matthew joined the Santa Fe College Brain Bowl team in the Fall of 2022. He quickly distinguished himself as the geography wizard on the team with additional expertise in history, mathematics, physics, and computer science. Matthew is not just an excellent Brain Bowl player, although he invariably places in the top five for individual scores at tournaments. He truly exemplifies what it means to be a team player by being kind and supportive of his teammates. Over the past year his leadership skills have blossomed. Matthew will graduate in December 2023, and we will miss all the points he puts on the board for the team, but even more, his sense of humor and camaraderie.”
