Andrea Monayarji, Seminole State

Seminole State College’s Andrea Monayarji is this week’s NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Softball Player of the Week. Monayarji, a sophomore from Orlando, Fla., batted .583 (7-for-12) with three runs scored, three doubles and six RBI in four games during the voting period. Her efforts helped Seminole State to doubleheader sweeps of St. Johns River State (April 16) and Lake-Sumter State (April 18), the latter of which clinched a postseason berth for the Raiders. Monayarji drove in a run in each game against St. Johns River State then went a combined 6-for-8 against Lake-Sumter State. In game one against the Lakehawks, she had two doubles and four RBI in Seminole State’s 6-5 win.

FCSAA Softball Pitcher of the Week

Rebekha Kiser, Indian River State
Sophomore - RHP
Arnold, Md.

Indian River State College’s Rebekha Kiser is this week’s NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Softball Pitcher of the Week. Kiser, a sophomore from Arnold, Md., was 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in two appearances during the voting period. On consecutive days, Kiser defeated Suncoast Conference Co-Champions Hillsborough and Polk State, the latter by way of a perfect game. Against Hillsborough on April 20, she went the distance in the Pioneers’ 5-3 win – all three runs allowed were unearned and she yielded only four hits while striking out three. The next day, she tossed a six-inning perfect game, and struck out seven, in her team’s 8-0 win over Polk State. For the week, Kiser logged 13 innings in the circle, allowed four hits, walked none and struck out seven.
